AFM Container and Training Bring Help To 200 Bomberos

Angels for Mexico was thrilled to be able to bring a 40 foot container to the port of Manzanillo to support the municipalities of Compestela, Guayabitos, Puerto Vallarta, Mascota, Talpa and Bahai de Banderas in March 2022. The gear and equipment in this shipment gave support to over 200 firefighters. Some of these areas had little to nothing prior to sharing in this container.

A couple of weeks later, we had a team of Firefighters from Canada come down to give these Bomberos a week of training.  Some of these firefighters had never even held a fire hose before this.  But if your area has no fire truck, this is not that surprising. It was amazing to watch the bond that was created between our Canadian team and their Mexican Brothers. And the gratitude that was expressed was genuine and deep.

We look forward to continuing to bring down a container each year followed by more training.  It is a deep well of need to fill but each effort makes a difference and helps these brave souls in Mexico to try to save lives.
