Airdrie Fire Department Deputy Chief Letter to Airdrie Firefighters

Hello,
On Monday, June 17th Chief Weinberger and myself had the opportunity to meet with Chief Steve Dongworth and Chief Adrian Bobadilla from Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Chief Bobadilla and his wife was in Calgary to share his appreciation with the CFD and AFD for their ongoing commitment to the charitable work of Angels for Mexico is a non-profit charity that was started in Calgary in 2007 by Christena Callaghan. The goal of this caring organization is to collect and distribute much needed firefighting equipment and gear to fire services throughout Mexico. The generosity of departments such as Calgary and Airdrie have greatly assisted the important work of Angels for Mexico and the numerous departments they assisted Chief Bobadilla presented an overview of the Puerto Vallarta Fire Department which consists of 140 firefighters, one main fire station and three sub stations that services an area of approximately 389 square kilometers. He was also became a honorary Calgarian through the traditional white hat ceremony.
