Just returned from another amazing playground build and the children and families in Puerta de Lima are so incredibly happy and grateful. Glenn and I met with the volunteer firefighters from the town of Zucualpan which is about 30 minutes north of Guayabitos. Their “firehall” resembles a chicken coop – unreal!! We have decided that we will have 2 projects for the 2017 October trip. We will build Blues’ playground and we will expand this firehall and give it brick walls rather than chicken wire (see photo). The spot that the people in Zucualpan showed us, for the playground/family park, is really beautiful and will be a wonderful tribute to Blue and his family.
